Announcement
Your source for tall and unique sticks, staffs, and canes.
I'm glad you're here. Sit down a while and prop your stick up against the wall. If you don't have one, perhaps you will find what you are looking for. They make great gifts.
Browse these sticks or contact me to create your unique travel partner. These are examples of wood spirit and message sticks, some traditional, some whimsical. I try to put a bit of whimsy in each piece.
I encourage custom orders. Let me know what you want and I'll help design a stick, staff, or cane that will thrill the recipient.
I seek out tall sticks. I can shorten any stick, but cutting them longer is a bit tricky. Ask me about customizing with lettering. Some sticks and staffs can be customized as a cane. I can add a wrap or a leather lanyard.
Be sure to get fitted for the proper cane length and let me know it when you order.
These are not medical devices.
You need a whistle when you hike in the woods or drive in the country or visit friends or wake up or order at the drive through window... well, you just need one every day.
A note about shipping costs. My listed shipping cost is an estimate using USPS Priority Mail. It includes the packaging which is generally about $9.00. Any stick or staff package longer than 60 inches costs at least $15.
No healthy trees are used for any of my items in order to respect the natural balance of our beautiful forests. Every stick, staff, and cane for my projects is salvaged from fallen trees, damaged by either storms or diseases or clear cutting for construction.
If you are in the Raleigh, NC USA, area, stop by Studio 123 to see many of these sticks and more. It is a creative space at 123 Seaboard Ave, Seaboard Station, Raleigh, NC 27604.
All the items are recovered wood so no trees are damaged to make your stick. You may get some blemishes and natural wear. Recycle, reuse, repurpose, and rejoice in saving the environment.

5 out of 5 starsHal made a cane for my Dad, with very specific details that honored his life, hobbies, and grandchildren. Hal took his time, and stayed in constant contact with questions, confirmations, and details to make sure it was exactly as I wanted. Today, my Dad received his cane. He was overwhelmed with the attention to detail, and the beauty of it all. Hal put so much into this cane for my father, and for that, I am thankful. If you want a very special gift for someone, this is the shop to come to. Hal will work closely with you to get exactly what you are looking for, with the utmost attention to detail.

You can tell that he is very passionate about his work. Toothy is the greatest staff! I gave it to my brother for his birthday, and he thinks it is super awesome! He's going to take very good care of Toothy. Thanks so much!!
